Dry Stone Masonry

Dry stone structures are created using an ancient design dating back thousands of years. Dry stone walls do not require mortar. Like a jigsaw puzzle, precise stacking of stones creates a durable structure; the stones’ mass and friction hold the structure together.

This allows for a highly drainable, durable and flexible retaining wall. Water passes freely through the wall, without compromising its structural integrity.

Concrete and mortared walls tend to crack over time when water and soil pressure build up. Especially in Colorado, the freeze-thaw cycle increases the likelihood of cracking.

Dry stone walls hold up against the weather, and they hold up against the test of time.

With years of dry stone expertise, Newgrange Stonework is passionate about creating long-lasting, aesthetic, sustainable hardscaping solutions for your outdoor areas.
